Q: Dear Genie, I am writing to you on behalf of my mother. She does not have access to an e-mail address so she asked me to write to you. She has ordered your sprays before and loves them. She has been diagnosed with a rare form of cystitis called eosinophilic cystitis. Do you know anything about it and do you have any medication that can help her? She is really suffering and has cystitis every month so the doctor put her on cortisone and antibiotics over months to keep it under control. She can't carry on like this and I would really appreciate it if you could reply with advice and hopefully something in your range could help her.

A: I think that your mom may have an acidic system which will encourage the growth of micro organisms. I suggest that she takes the Multiforce Alkaline powder made by A Vogel once a day to make her system more alkaline. Reduce her intake of sugars, salt, refined carbs, coffee or any caffeine, artificial sweetner and even cranberry juice. She should have 8 glasses of water a day. Then she needs to take Borax 200c (available in our range) 4-6 times a day to correct the ill effects of antibiotics caused to her digestion, as well as Cantharis 200c also in our range) 4-6 times a day. If you can, get Tuberculinum 200c from a Weleda pharmacy and she should take at same time as others, 4-6 times a day. Continue until symptoms have not been apparent for a few months. She can then stop the remedies but cont. with the Alkaline powder. If symptoms at any time are severe or recur take the three remedies together half hourly until improved then cont. 4-6 times a day.
