Lower back problems

3. April 2009, 08:58 | by There's a remedy for that

Q: My granddaughter is 20 years of age and at present living in Sweden. She has a history of slipped discs, was in hospital in Johannesbug for two weeks at the beginning of this year, and had an MRI scan and had some physio treatment and they did not want to operate for which we were thankful. She came back to Lusaka where she had more physio treatment which seemed to help; at least she was fit enough to make the long journey back to Sweden with her mother. This was in May. Her back has not improved, if anything it is worse, and when she had another MRI scan it showed up a third disc has slipped. In the meantime she is in a lot of pain and is presently having acupuncture treatment. She has recently seen a specialist in Stockholm who has suggested she join a "pain management session". She is at university in Sweden and is doing her master's course. She has been a vegetarian since about the age of four and she is very slim. She is very worried about this condition, as are all the family.

A: One’s emotions have a significant influence on one’s physical make-up and the body’s ability to heal and renew itself. Lower back issues may stem from an earlier shock or deep seated concern with one’s physical safety and security, or feeling unsupported by life.  In the absence of injury, lower back weakness might also relate to desires, emotions and mother issues. I suggest you make a good start by encouraging your granddaughter’s healing mechanisms and try the following homoeopathic remedies for at least 3 months:

Silica   200c         4-6 times a day
Calc Phos  200c   4-6 times a day

UPDATE: April 2009
Thought you would like a quick update on Stephi's progress (our grandaughter with back problems /slipped disks) news that we have from Sweden is that she gets better and stronger every day!

Dear Genie,
My Aunt is 72 years old and has had a history of ailments which include a deficiency of vitamin B, stomach ulcers and more recently Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). She is now experiencing a problem with muscle weakness in her legs and has been told that because she does not have enough oxygen in her lungs oxygen is being taken from the muscles in her legs. She also had a stroke 3 years ago due to a blockage in her brain and is on warfarin to thin the blood. Her blood regularly comes back as ‘thick’ and her tablets have to be changed accordingly. Her quality of life has been really affected and I wondered if you could recommend treatments that might improve her energy levels and her quality of life. She does try to look on the bright side but is finding things quite tough at times.

Hi Genie

Following my message posted yesterday. As regards my Aunt I forgot to mention also that her bladder does not work and she has to use a catheter all the time. She has suffered from recurrent kidney infections. I would think a mixture in a spray form would be good for her as she is on a lot of medication and something that can be taken quickly and conveniently would suit her.

Thanks & regards

Liz

Hi Liz

I think your aunt would do well to try the following two homeopathic
remedies:

Causticum 200c: 4 – 6 times a day – having had a stroke – muscular
paralysis & weakness; kidney, urinary & bladder disorders

Carbo Veg 200c: 4 – 6 times a day – Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
(COPD); oxygen disorders; ulceration of the digestive tract

She will need to take these remedies for quite some time.

These remedies are available in the forms of a mouth spray through our online shop.

Kind regards, Genie

Thanks so much. I will try those remedies for my Aunt. My own remedies are going very well and I can’t believe the change. Each month I am getting better and it’s truly fantastic. Thank you so much.

Dear Genie
I am 53 years of age. I suffer from severe back pains from the neck downwards. This only happens when I am lying flat and not at any time. I had consulted a doctor and was diagnosed with arthritis. Can I please be advised on which medication to buy.

Is it possible to buy directly form your shop in person?

regards

Emily
